The Society of Australian Sexologists Ltd (SAS) represents health and allied health professionals working in the area of sex therapy, sexuality education, sexual health and sexology. SAS is a member-organisation of the Asia Oceania Federation of Sexology (AOFS), and the World Association of Sexual Health (WAS). The Society offers membership, professional development, supervision and a rigorous accreditation process for those practising as psychosexual therapists, sex therapists, sexuality educators and sexologists. Members abide by a strict Code of Ethics and Practice and the WAS Millennium Declaration of Sexual Rights. One of the goals of SAS is to self-regulate the practice of Psychosexual Therapy and Sexuality Education, for the protection of our communities, in particular, those at an increased risk and vulnerability.
