Brianna Harrison, Human Rights and Law Advisor, UNAIDS Asia Pacific Regional Service Team. Brianna Harrison is the Human Rights and Law Advisor at the UNAIDS Regional Support Team in Asia Pacific. She is an Australian lawyer, with an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Law degree from the University of Melbourne. She also has a Masters in International Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Brianna worked as a corporate lawyer in Australia and Hong Kong before transitioning to full time human rights work with the United Nations. Before joining the Asia Pacific team in 2011, she worked on human rights and legal environments at UNAIDS Viet Nam, UNAIDS HQ in Geneva and with the UNDP HIV/AIDS Group in New York. She has first-hand experience in the design and implementation of key programmes to reduce stigma and discrimination and increase access to justice for marginalized groups, as well as expertise in supporting governments and civil society in their efforts to advance human rights in the context of HIV.
