Dr Catherine Hungerford convenes the postgraduate courses in mental health nursing in the Faculty of Health at the University of Canberra. Catherine has a background in counselling and is a credentialed Mental Health Nurse and endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health). She continues to work clinically and remains current with approaches to mental health service provision. Catherine is the lead author of the textbook, Mental Health Care: An introduction for health professionals, published by Wiley in 2012; and currently facilitates the popular PACFA Mental Health Training short-course. She is also the author of a number of journal articles, with research interests in Recovery in mental health, and models of care.
