Dr Chris Bourne is the Head of the NSW Sexually Transmitted Infections Programs Unit; Senior Specialist in Sexual Health Medicine at Sydney Sexual Health Centre, Sydney Hospital; and Conjoint Associate Professor, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, University of New South Wales. He has worked in sexual health medicine for more than 20 years in Sydney, rural/remote New South Wales and Adelaide, and has provided consultancies in many South East Asian countries. He has written sexual health care guidelines and conducted training in Australia and Asia. He is a member of the NSW Health Ministerial Advisory Committee on HIV and STI strategy and his professional and research interests include the epidemiology of STIs and HIV, and sexual health program and clinical operations especially those targeted to high priority populations.
