Dea Delaney-Thiele

Master in Public Health from the UNSW and currently Doctoral Candidate at the UNSW, Ms Dea Delaney-Thiele is a Dunghutti woman born at the Burnt Bridge Mission, Kempsey, NSW. Ms Delaney-Thiele has more than 24 years experience working within the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector (ACCHS). Dea also worked for the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) for 11 years and was its Chief Executive Officer between March 2013 and November 2010, where she was responsible for the management of the national Secretariat. Dea is the current Chief Executive Officer of NATSIWA (National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women's Alliance) and heads the Population Health Research Unit at the Aboriginal Medical Service Western Sydney, Mt Druitt Village, NSW.
