James is an ID physician at the Alfred, who has recently submitted a PhD at Monash University. This focused on social and behavioural factors predicting treatment outcomes for people living with HIV in the US and India. James completed an ID fellowship and MPH at Tufts in Boston and also works as a consultant for the WHO HIV Drug resistance strategy in South East Asia. His research interests focus on monitoring strategies and interventions to improve outcomes for people receiving antiretroviral therapy.
