Karen Daniel has many years of experience with Sandplay Therapy and is passionate about its profound therapeutic potential. Her original Sandplay training - over 25 years ago - was with Patrick Jansen, who at the time was one of the few Jungian analysts and Sandplay therapists working in Australia who had trained in Zurich at the Jung Institute with Dora Kalff (Jung’s student who developed Sandplay). Karen has worked with sandplay since that time, integrating a Jungian approach with transpersonal and expressive therapies. Since her original training in Expressive Therapies and Transpersonal Studies in 1981, she has been working in this field, facilitating personal development groups and training programs around Australia and New Zealand from the late 1980s through the 1990s. Karen has been in private practice as a Sandplay therapist and psychotherapist/counsellor using Expressive Therapies since 1990. She also regularly offers Sandtray Therapy training programs for therapists.
