Karen Masman has a Master of Arts degree in linguistics and literature, a Diploma of Teaching and a Diploma of Counselling Psychology. She has facilitated groups, workshops and therapeutic conversations for a wide variety of organisations. She began working as an editor in Sydney in 1982 and has held various writing and publishing roles ever since, including teaching Professional Writing and Editing certificate courses. She has been involved in the creation of over 30 books, picture books, card sets and stickers for professionals such as counsellors, psychologists, social workers and educators. Karen’s book 'The Uses of Sadness'' was published by Allen and Unwin in March 2009.
