Kathleen McPhillips is a sociologist of religion and gender at the University of Newcastle, Australia. She is currently researching the Catholic Church at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. This research is funded by the University of Newcastle. Kathleen is also a psychotherapist with a private practice in Newcastle. Her ANZAP Dissertation titled Unbearable Knowledge: Managing Cultural Trauma at the Royal Commission has been accepted for publication in the journal Psychoanalytic Dialogu
