Maureen O'Connor

Sister Maureen O’Connor joined the Dominican Sisters in 1951. Sister Maureen has been involved in Infant and Junior Secondary School education. Since leaving the School room has been a Pastoral Assistant in a country parish working an Aboriginal literacy program to prepare adults to enter TAFE courses. Of latter years, she has been involved with Adult Literacy and English as a second language to help migrants and refugee people negotiate their settlement in Australia. Sister Maureen O’Connor has been a volunteer at STARTTS since 1992.
