Omara Memon is a psychologist, having completed six years of education and training, including a Master of Forensic Psychology. Her training enables her to conduct psychological assessments and formulate appropriate treatment for various mental health disorders. Currently, she is employed by STARTTS as a psychologist and has four years experience assessing and subsequently treating refugee survivors of torture and trauma. During her work at STARTTS Omara has had the opportunity to work with a range of clients, including individuals in detention, asylum seekers in the community and children. She has also been involved in running therapeutic groups, particularly for young children, as well as providing training to external agencies about working with refugees.
