Dr Ratna Is a psychiatrist with subspecialty training in Psychogeriatrics. She has worked extensively in this specialty at St Joseph’s Hospital, Bankstown Hospital, Braeside Hospital, Bowral Community Health Centre, and Wagga Wagga Community Health Centre, in the management of inpatients and outpatients, and conducting home and nursing home visits for psychogeriatric patients. Some of the diagnostic categories include depression, delirium, various dementias (Alzheimer’s, Dementia with small white matter hyperintensities, Vascular, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, Fronto-Temporal Dementia, etc.), Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia and medicolegal issues such as Guardianship, Power of Attorney, and Elder Abuse.. She has completed a masters in psychotherapy (at Westmead Hospital), and has also completed training in Family Therapy for families of the elderly. She has extensive experience in Behavioural therapy, Cognitve therapy, group therapy and psychodynamic therapy in all age groups (including the elderly). She is currently establishing practice at the Park Central Clinic, Suite 14A Level 1, 42 Parkside Crescent, Campbelltown 2560 (ph 4620 6314, fax 4620 6429) as well admitting psychiatrist at Campbelltown Private Hospital at 42 Parkside Crescent Campbelltown.
