Professor Yuri Kropotov demonstrates that by knowing which brain dysfunction is associated with symptoms of ADHD a clinician can suggest the individualised treatment, whether it be medication, neurofeedback, tDCS or GABA agonists.
Prof Kropotov believes there is an urgent need to introduce new methods such as the decomposition of EEG and evoked responses into independent components, and LORETA (Low Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography), into clinical practice.
