Therapeutic Group Work and even Relationship Counselling itself frequently focus on developing communication and conflict management skills. But as therapists, sometimes we ‘miss the boat’ when it comes to enabling our clients to experience deep healing in their ongoing relationships, when core attitudes and actions of their loved ones cut into their souls and profoundly wound them. Remaining perpetually wounded can have constant negative impact on one’s identity and wellbeing. These five Languages of Apology – Expressing Regret, Accepting Responsibility, Making Restitution, Genuine repentance and Requesting forgiveness are explored and experimented.
