Psychoanalysis and therefore Psychotherapy does not have an integrated homogenous point of view. But all contemporary theories and clinicians subscribe to the complexity of the mind, the importance of unconscious mental processes and the value of relatedness. Each of today’s approaches began indirectly from the classical one-person psychology, and not as fully developed two-person psychologies.
The Conversational Model, a Contemporary Relational Model of theory and practice will be discussed in relation to some of the other models of therapy.
