Re-enchantment: Fairy tales in psychotherapy

Re-enchantment: Fairy tales in psychotherapy

Sarah Gibson introduces interactive online project ‘Re-enchantment’ exploring the hidden meaning of fairy tales for adults. It examines the re-imaginings of six traditional fairy stories for a contemporary culture, combining interpretations from social history, psychology and popular culture. From a post-Jungian perspective ‘Reenchantment’ challenges us to psychologically reconnect to the tales Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White, Hansel and Gretel and Bluebeard in new ways that remind us of the mystery and poetic possibility of these stories. Participants consider the ways in which fairy tales can be used creatively and clinically in adult psychotherapy
