Dr Elizabeth Riley covers therapeutic approaches for working with clients that present with diversity in gender identity and/or expression. Beginning with anchoring the language, identifying the scales of sex and gender and stating current prevalence, Elizabeth will then specify the various professional guidelines/competencies that may be relevant for clients and specifically the World Professional Association for Transgender Health’s Standards of Care (Version 7).
Following this, Elizabeth will outline the types of client presentation that involve therapeutic work and aspects of assessment with gender diverse clients.
